Specimen overview

This malachite specimen consists of five stalactitic formations joined on a common base. Varying in height, they develop almost parallel to one another and form a clearly defined vertical group reminiscent of a small mineral forest.

The stalactites display a finely crystallised green surface with a matt to slightly velvety appearance. Their colour ranges from deep green to lighter shades depending on the relief and lighting. The tips have rounded or slightly irregular outlines, while the base retains a more massive structure.

The specimen is distinguished by its five separate stalactites, whose varying heights give the group depth and relief. It comes from an old collection.

Provenance

This malachite comes from the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The specimen measures 80 mm in length, 37 mm in width and 150 mm in height.

Weight: 748 g including the stand.
