Manganocalcite

Showing 1-11 of 11 item(s)

Manganocalcite is a manganese-enriched variety of calcite, with the chemical formula CaCO₃ + Mn. It is distinguished by its pale to bright pink hue, often mottled or uniformly colored, due to the presence of manganese in its structure.

Crystallizing in the trigonal system, manganocalcite often appears as compact masses or rhombohedral crystals. With a hardness of 3 on the Mohs scale, it is relatively soft and can be easily scratched, but is highly prized by collectors for its soothing colors.
