Specimen overview

This specimen features very pale pink mangano calcite, forming rounded masses entirely covered with fine crystallisation. The multitude of small crystals gives the surface a slightly sparkling appearance and highlights the different reliefs of the specimen.

Small cleophane crystals are scattered across the mangano calcite. Their colour ranges from olive green to dark grey. One larger, clearly defined crystal stands out near the upper part of the specimen.

Provenance

This association of mangano calcite and cleophane comes from Zlatograd, Bulgaria, and was collected in 2010.
