Specimen overview
This green garnet specimen from Madagascar displays a dense covering of crystals across a pale matrix. Numerous small crystals cover the surface, while several larger and well-individualised crystals are mainly concentrated along the upper section and the right side of the specimen.
The colours range from pale green to slightly olive green, with partially translucent areas visible in some crystals. The variation in crystal size and their distribution across the matrix give the specimen a textured appearance and reveal several levels of crystallisation within a compact piece.

This specimen comes from Madagascar and is from an old collection.
