This fluorite from China, originating from the Hunan province (2005), displays a group of crystals with clearly defined geometric shapes, dominated by well-formed cubic structures. The crystal faces show a matte appearance, with slightly granulated areas visible along several edges.
The colour is a uniform pale green, noticeable both within the crystals and along their contours. Certain areas let the light pass through diffusely, creating gentle variations in tone depending on the viewing angle.
The specimen is mounted on an acrylic base. The fluorite measures 110 mm in width and 100 mm in height, with a total weight of 638 g (including the base).
The Hunan province is located in south-central China, south of the Yangtze River. It is a region with contrasting landscapes, from mountainous reliefs to extensive rural areas. Hunan is also known for its diverse mineral resources and for several deposits that have produced fluorites appreciated by collectors for many years.
