Quartz Crystal Plate – Madan, Bulgaria | Ref.97

This crystallised quartz plate comes from the Madan mining district in Bulgaria. Dated 2003, the specimen displays dense quartz crystallisation covering almost the entire matrix.

Numerous fine, elongated prismatic crystals, transparent to translucent, form tightly packed divergent sprays. Their arrangement creates two main rounded areas of relief, separated by a shallow central depression, giving the specimen a balanced and three-dimensional structure.

The many terminations and lustrous crystal faces reflect the light from different angles. Despite the density of the crystals, the overall structure remains clearly visible and highlights the delicate quality of the crystallisation.

Measuring 140 mm in length and weighing 600 g, this specimen has a strong visual presence while remaining well suited to a collector mineral display.
