Specimen overview
This green fluorite from Mandrosonoro, Madagascar, displays an intergrown group of cubic crystals of varying sizes. The crystals show several shades of green with noticeable translucency, particularly along some edges and thinner areas.
The main face is dominated by several well-developed cubes with broad, flat faces. The reverse side, visible in the video, shows a more irregular crystallisation together with lighter areas, offering a different view of the specimen’s structure.
Provenance
This fluorite comes from Mandrosonoro, in the Ambatofinandrahana district of Madagascar. The locality is known among mineral collectors for its fluorite specimens, including crystals displaying various shades of green.
