This association of azurite, malachite and calcite was collected in 2019 in the Kerrouchen area of Morocco.
The piece features very dark blue tabular azurite crystals with clearly striated faces. They develop on a pale calcite matrix, with several green areas of malachite visible between the crystals.
The contrast between the dark azurite, the white to beige calcite and the touches of malachite clearly highlights the three associated minerals within a compact formation.
Mounted on a clear acrylic base, the mineral measures 30 × 18 × 22 mm and weighs 17 g including the base. Detailed photographs show the crystal arrangement and the different mineral associations.
Our catalogue features all the azurite currently available.
