Pyrite from Zlatograd – Bulgaria (2008)
This pyrite from Zlatograd features two massive, intergrown crystals with fine striations and a bright golden metallic luster.
The overall shape is pyritohedral rather than cubic, a form observed in some secondary Bulgarian occurrences.
Its well-preserved surface gives a uniform and appealing golden sheen.
