Natural and distinctive association of light grey calcite and white quartz from the 9th September Mine (Madan district, Bulgaria). The calcite, positioned at the center, displays grey crystals probably tinted by fine metallic inclusions typical of the locality. Surrounding it, the quartz forms a white crystalline carpet, creating a subtle yet well-defined contrast between the two minerals.
Dated 1993 and from an old collection, this specimen exemplifies the classic pieces from the Madan mining district in the 1990s, a period when the 9th September Mine was still active.
