Specimen description
This amethyst from Artigas, Uruguay, was collected in 2006. Presented vertically on an acrylic stand, the specimen has a triangular profile and is covered with crystals across its entire surface.
The crystallisation is dense, with numerous points of varying sizes distributed throughout the specimen. Larger crystals are surrounded by smaller, closely packed terminations, particularly in the central area. Several flat, lustrous faces reflect the light strongly.
The colour appears predominantly deep purple, with paler areas along the edges and on some crystals. Its intensity may vary depending on the orientation of the specimen and the lighting conditions.

Care and preservation
To help preserve the colour of the amethyst, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight should be avoided. Dust can be removed with a soft brush, taking care not to damage the crystal terminations.
