This purple botryoidal chalcedony, often known as “grape agate”, comes from the Mamuju region in Indonesia. It is characterized by a formation of small rounded spheres grouped together, creating the rounded reliefs typical of this variety of chalcedony. Its general colour ranges from purple to mauve tones.
This chalcedony is mounted on a base, making it easy to display in a showcase or mineral collection.
From an old 2018 collection, this piece measures 30 mm wide by 56 mm high.
