This pyromorphite from Saint-Salvy, Tarn, France, comes from an old collection dating from the 1980s. It displays dense green crystallisation arranged in irregular aggregates over a dark matrix with rusty-brown areas.
The reliefs of the piece are extensively covered with pyromorphite, showing different shades of green depending on the viewing angle and lighting. The mineral is fixed to the base of a Plexiglas box with soft mounting putty.
