Quartz - Madan, Bulgaria | Ref.82

This large group of white quartz crystals comes from the Madan mining district in Bulgaria. Dated 1990, the specimen displays a compact crystallisation composed of numerous tightly intergrown crystals.

The crystals are mainly white and opaque to slightly translucent, with varying dimensions. Several short, robust crystals form the base of the specimen, while larger points rise through the upper section and create greater relief.

The main view highlights the dense arrangement of clearly individualised crystals. The side view provides a better look at the broad terminations and the succession of crystal points forming the overall silhouette.

Measuring 180 × 180 × 65 mm and weighing 1,480 g, this quartz forms a substantial specimen with a strong presence in a mineral display.

Cleaning: use lukewarm soapy water and a soft brush, then rinse thoroughly and allow to dry.
