This specimen of quartz sprinkled with pyrite, from El Hammam, Morocco, consists of an aggregate of quartz crystals covered across the surface with numerous small metallic pyrite specks.
The El Hammam locality is situated southwest of Meknes and is one of the Moroccan localities regularly cited in mineral collections.
With dimensions of 62 mm in width and 86 mm in height, this piece was collected in 2003. Displayed on a base, it weighs 236 g including its support.
